Dr. Robin Abari
Dr. Robin Abari has been practicing orthodontics exclusively for adults, teens, and children since 1981. After graduating from New York University with honors, he taught in New York University’s Medical Center cleft lip department. He was on staff at White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles.
A well-known orthodontist in Southern California, Dr. Abari has transformed more than 20,000 smiles and treated over 1,000 surgical cases involving severe malformed occlusion. His dedication and love for his field have made him an expert in orthodontics. He is a frequent lecturer before dental societies throughout the country.
The focus of his work on young children is European-style functional-growth issues. He receives referrals from all over Southern California because of this. Dr. Abari treats many adults and teens with special problems, including surgical implants and periodontitis. He has innovated and designed orthodontic appliances to provide patients with more comfort and optimum results. Dr. Abari was selected for 2003-2004 as one of America’s “Top Orthodontists” by Consumers’ Research Council of America, a recognition accorded to only a select few orthodontists.
On a personal level, Dr. Abari enjoys spending time with his family and exercising, as well as reading orthodontic journals in his spare time!
Dr. Lawrence Will
Dr. Lawrence Will received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University. He served as assistant director of continuing education for Loma Linda University’s School of Dentistry, then commenced his post-graduate studies. He graduated with a Master of Science in orthodontics.
Following completion of this orthodontic specialty training, Dr. Will served as clinic director for the graduate orthodontic clinic at Loma Linda University and taught the orthodontic portions of dental hygiene and undergraduate dental students. Before joining Dr. Abari, Dr. Will maintained a private practice in Northridge.
Dr. Will’s focus is on the orthodontic needs of each and every patient and he is excited to be a part of the vibrant, cutting-edge orthodontic practice of Dr. Abari.
Our Future Orthodontist
Dr. Brandon Abari
Dr. Brandon Abari grew up in Walnut, California and has had a presence in his father’s office since he was in middle school. He volunteered his time at the office when he could during summer breaks. After high school, he went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in biological Sciences from the University of the Pacific in 2015. He then worked full time at Dr. Abari’s side as a chairside assistant for 2 years until enrolling in University of the Pacific’s dental school in San Francisco. Having graduated in June 2020, Brandon excitedly returned home to continue being a presence in the family practice. He plans to return to school to complete an orthodontic residency when the right time and opportunity arises.
In his spare time Brandon enjoys watching movies. Some of his favorites include The Dark Knight, Good Will Hunting, and Terminator 2. Brandon also thoroughly enjoys the outdoors, as hiking and skiing are both big hobbies of his. Sturtevant Falls and Mammoth Mountain are his two favorite areas to hike and ski, respectively.
Oral Surgeons
Dr. Apel Keuroghlian
Dr. Apel Keuroghlian is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon that graduated from UCLA. His career began with a biomedical/biochemical engineering degree from the University of Southern California, where he graduated among the top of his class. Throughout his undergraduate education in engineering, Dr. Apel researched the effects of the different surface characteristics of implants and their integration with bone. He later decided to further his education by obtaining a dental degree from USC. While at the USC School of Dentistry, Dr. Apel received several endowed scholarships for academics/research including the California Dental Association research scholarship and academic scholarship as well as the Class of 1964 endowed scholarship. He once again graduated amongst the top of his class. Dr. Apel truly enjoyed the surgical aspect of dentistry while in dental school and decided to further his education In Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA which includes a Medical Degree from UCLA as well as a internship certificate in general surgery. He currently holds a faculty position at UCLA as well.
Dr. Apel truly enjoys what he does and is committed to enhancing patient care by integrating his engineering, dental and surgical skills and education. He hopes to pursue research in the future, but is dedicated to patient care as his first priority. Dr. Apel is fluent in both English and Armenian. When not working, Dr. Apel enjoys travelling, skiing, playing basketball or just hanging out with his friends.
Dr. Armand Keuroghlian
Dr. Armand Keuroghlian is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who graduated from Harbor- UCLA. He received his DDS degree from UCLA School of Dentistry and completed a 1 year internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Tx. Prior to graduating from the UCLA School of dentistry, Armand obtained a biology degree from the University of California, Irvine.
While working toward his dental degree at UCLA, he researched implants and their integration with bone and received numerous awards, including the OMFS Student Award and Deans Leadership Institute. While in dental school, he gravitated toward the surgical aspect of dentistry, so he decided to continue his education in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Habor-UCLA.
While patient care is his first priority, Armand hopes to have an academic role in the future.
Armand enjoys sports, hanging out with his friends, and traveling. He is also fluent in Armenian.
